Court searches that prove every clear.

Research Assistant runs county criminal searches for background screening companies. It reports a clear only when the court's own page says there's nothing there. Everything else goes to a person.

What happens to an order

  1. The order arrives

From your screening platform, or typed in by your team.

  2. Research Assistant searches the county

On the court's own records site: the same search a researcher would run by hand.

  3. Every case is checked

Against the name and date of birth. Alias hits and missing birth dates are flagged.

  4. A researcher approves

Nothing posts back to your platform until a person signs off on it.

The Orders screen: six orders worked, four clear, one record found, one waiting for a researcher The Review screen: an order held because a middle name differs, waiting for a researcher to check the court
Every order Research Assistant picked up, what it found, and how long it took. Anything it couldn't prove waits here with the reason, until a researcher checks the court and approves it. The real screens. The people are made up.

When it says clear, and when it doesn't

It reports clear only when

  • the court's own page says no cases were found for that name
  • the search ran all the way through
  • the screenshots are saved, so you can see what the court showed

It hands the order to a person when

  • a case is filed under a different spelling or another name
  • a record has no date of birth to prove who it belongs to
  • the court blocked the search or it didn't finish
  • the court's page can't be read with certainty

How we handle your data

  • A person decides every result

Nothing posts back to your platform until a researcher approves it.

  • No AI reads your subjects

The final checks are fixed rules. AI only ever sees made-up test names, when it helps build a county's search.

  • Deleted once delivered

In our hosted service, once your platform has the result, the files that name the person are deleted. We keep a record of who decided what, without case numbers.

  • Hidden until needed

Full names, dates of birth and case numbers stay masked on screen until a researcher clicks to see them.

  • Court logins encrypted

A court login you share with us is stored encrypted and is never shown on screen again.

  • Every action signed

Each researcher has their own login, and every decision is logged with who made it and when.
