This page explains what Old Red LLC (“we”) collects through this website and what we do with it.
What we collect on this website
- The sign-up form. Your name, company, email, phone, how many searches you run a month, and your screening platform, if you type them in.
- Sign-in. If you have an account, one cookie keeps you signed in. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed), never as you typed it.
- Basic server records. Like most websites, our server may record the address your browser connects from and the pages it asks for, to keep the site secure.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The page's fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's address when it sends them.
How we use it
We use sign-up details only to contact you about an account. We don't sell them or share them with anyone else, except a provider that hosts the site for us.
How long we keep it
A sign-up request is deleted once we approve or decline it. Our activity record keeps the company name and the date.
Searches for our clients
When a client sends us an order, we search public court records on their instructions, under a signed agreement with them. In our hosted service, once the client's platform has the result, the files that name the person are deleted. Questions about a background check should go to the company that ordered it.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what you sent us, use the sign-up form on our home page.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
